It’s the God that loves us!

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

I started a new devotional on the Bible app this morning. This devotional is on leadership or leading like Jesus did. Imagine my surprise to read the first entry and see that it is about having a fresh start to each day.

At first, I wondered what this had to do with leadership, but then it hit me. If Jesus ever hoped to lead right, he had to begin the day right. A great start is important, and if there is a key to having a great start in the morning, then it is remembering how great God’s grace and faithfulness are every day. No day is the same, but His grace empowers us to face whatever challenges we are destined to face in that day.

Reading the devo and the accompanying verse above energized my day. I walked through the halls of the day with a big smile on my face, because God’s grace is EVERYTHING! His faithfulness is LIFE!

Let’s do our best to begin each day by remembering God. My Pastor often says that he wakes up and says, “Holy Spirit, let’s roll!” It might sound trite, but it is effective as a means of identifying the attitude that we should wake up with. If we wake up thankful and recognizing God’s presence around us and within us, then it tends to stay on our minds as we course through each day.

So, make it intentional! Start the day off right!

And if you didn’t do it this morning, take a moment and do it right NOW!!
